5 Must-Have Apps For Content Creators
Being a content creator is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love creating, and it literally makes my soul sing when I get to create project after project. Even right now as I type this blog, with Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban playing in the background, I am filled with pure happiness. (If you need help figure out your career life, check out this blog about figuring out what you should do with your life.)
If you are a content creator or aspiring to be one, (aloha and welcome, let’s be content creator friends on Instagram) here are some great apps that you can use to help you create beautiful content right from your phone.
5 Super Helpful Apps For Content Creators
1. Canva
Canva is a great website and app that allows you to create all sorts of content. From ebooks and Powerpoint presentations to Instagram stories and Youtube cover photos, Canva allows you to create beautiful content in just a few clicks. They offer templates and blank canvas so you can create your own designs that are the perfect ratio for the platform you are creating it for. They do have a free and premium option available for users. I only use their free option, so I recommend starting with that and seeing if you need the extra features that come with the premium settings.
2. Quik
Quik is a video editing app that is created by Go Pro, and it is the perfect app for creating videos on your phone. This app allows you to create both horizontal and vertical videos, so it is great for IGTV, IG stories, Snapchat and even Tik Tok. It allows you to include sound, and add music to the film as well. It also comes with some filters and templates that have cool transitions and titles. It is free to use so don’t worry about having to pay for any features. The only thing that Quik doesn’t allow you to do is to add subtitles to your videos. For this, I use the free website Kapwing.
3. Lightroom
Adobe Lightroom has been a staple for photo editing for years, so it should be no surprise that having their mobile app is a must for content creators. The app allows you to do basic edits to your photography, i.e. just the contrast, sharpen a photo, increase the highlights etc. A major reason why I love the Lightroom app is that you can upload a Lightroom preset that you have created on a desktop right to the app, so you can easily batch edit photos right on your phone. It is pretty handy. The Lightroom mobile app is free for anyone to use.
4. Adobe Spark Suite
Sticking to the Adobe family, the Adobe Spark Suite is a must for content creators. Adobe Spark used to be one app but is now three apps that can all be useful to creators. There is Adobe Spark Post, Page and Video – all the three apps have the potential to take your content to the next level, however, I mainly use Spark Post. Spark Video is another great app to make quick videos with video files and photos. Adobe Page can be used to create unique webpages. Spark Post is similar to Canva and allows you to create graphics for social media and blogs. They have some unique templates that can inspire some beautiful creations. Unlike Canva, it is completely free, so you will never have to upgrade to unlock certain features.
5. Unfold
Unfold is an app that allows you to create beautiful Instagram stories. They have really nice templates and all you have to do is upload your photos or videos to them. The only downside to Unfold is that the app is free but most of the templates are not included and you will have to pay extra to use all of them. However the fee is very reasonably priced – for about $27 USD/year or $3.99 USD/month, you can access Unfold + and have access to all of their collections and fonts.
Those are my 5 top apps for content creators. They have definitely helped me create beautiful content and I am sure they will help you as well. What do you think of these apps? Do you have a great app that isn’t on the list? Share your thoughts in the comments.
Wishing you a life time of creating,
