Exploring Huntsville: Ontario’s Hidden Gem

As summer comes to a close and fall approaches, I have been reflecting on my summer and all the wonderful activities I did. I had a lot of fun this summer and was lucky enough to travel for a couple of weeks and enjoy myself with friends and family. One of the places I travelled to this summer was a small town in Ontario, known for its endless outdoor adventures, Huntsville.

While in Huntsville, I stayed with my family at a lovely cottage right on a lake. Spending time each day on the dock reading was incredibly relaxing.

I also made friends with four, friendly ducks and fed them corn multiple times a day.

I went on different hikes and enjoyed quality time in the thick, lush, green forests of Ontario. I hiked around Ragged Falls, which was relaxing and refreshing.

I also spent some time exploring downtown Huntsville. Huntsville isn’t big in any way, in fact it’s downtown is one street with a few stores, and restaurants, but what it lacks in quantity in makes up for in quality. I visited my two favourite stores in Huntsville, Soapstones Natural Skincare where I purchased some amazing natural skin products, and Algonquin Outfitters where I picked up some cozy sweaters for fall.

I also ate some delicious food at the The Frying Dutchman food truck, which is an all vegan food truck. I ordered so much food from them, but it was all worth it because it was extremely delicious.

Huntsville is a beautiful little town, that I would recommend to anyone and everyone should visit whenever they can. It is the perfect place to experience the raw beauty of Ontario, and is suitable for all ages. Huntsville is great to visit all times of the year, having many activities that can be enjoyed in every weather.

I love you,
