Haunted Travel Stories From Travel Bloggers

October is around the corner and as some of you may know I am very excited for Halloween! What is more exciting than getting scared and eating candy? If you haven’t read my blog post, Three Haunted Destinations You Can Travel To In October, check it out now, and be inspired to go on some haunted trips this Halloween. Keeping up with the haunted travel theme, I asked some of my travel blogger friends to share with me some of their haunted travel stories, and put them together in this blog post for all of you!

So, I’ll start with my own haunted travel story! While I was in Ireland, I stopped in the lovely town of Kilkenny and visited a haunted pub called Kyteler’s Inn. It is a medieval bar that looks super cool and was build in 1324. Many of it’s guest have seen ghosts, and you can enjoy live music on most nights. During my visit in the pub nothing unusual happened, I was with my aunt and we enjoyed a drink and then headed back to our hotel. The next day I was scrolling through my photos that I took at Kyteler’s Inn and in the background of one of my photos there was a ghost! A GHOST PHOTO BOMBED ME IN A HAUNTED PUB! Check out the photo below and enjoy the other haunted travel stories!

For example, Bodmin Jail was the first British prison to hold prisoners in individual cells.  As the years went on, these lofty goals went by the wayside. In 1869, when the law changed so that you could no longer be put in prison for being in debt, Bodmin Jail had spare capacity.  The jail gave a portion of its buildings to the Royal Navy to become a naval prison.  During World War I, the prison housed some British treasures such as the Crown Jewels.
