Toronto Christmas Market

I walked along the cobblestone streets of Toronto’s Distillery District smiling as I admired all of the Christmas decorations and shining lights and sang along with the Christmas carols playing. I explore the Toronto Christmas Market walking from vendor to vendor as the smell of fresh, warm bread, and hot poutine gravy, filled my nose. As I kept walking, my eyes widened as I came to the beautifully, decorated giant Christmas Tree standing in the middle of the square. Merry and bright are the two words that I would use to describe how this beautiful tree made me feel – it is beyond perfect. I stand a stare at the tree for a few minutes, before I start to wonder towards the bar area and order a holiday cocktail.

The Toronto Christmas Market is one of my personal favourite Christmas Markets in the whole world. I have spent time in Europe during the holiday season, and have been to some of Europe’s best Christmas Markets, and while they were completely awesome, the Toronto Christmas Market is still my favourite. Maybe it is because Toronto is my home city, and it has a special place in my heart, but I think I love the Toronto Christmas Market the most because it is absolutely magical.

The Toronto Christmas Market is open from November 25th to December 23rd. It has artisans, delicious food, entertainment, so many Christmas trees, and a cozy bar with fire pits. Warm feelings and joy fill the market, and even with a large crowd of people you can’t help but feel good. The Toronto Christmas Market is a must see for any Christmas lover, and makes a great reason to visit the marvellous city. Check out these photos to see just how magical the Toronto Christmas Market is.
