The Perfect Winter Adventure Bucket List
I reached the top of the hill and looked out at the breathtaking view of the city, as the snow fell all around me. It was equally magical and beautiful, and in that moment I feel in love with winter hiking.
I used to spend winters inside until I learned the science behind dressing for winter and invested in a good base layer, mid layer and outer layer. Ever since I have been able to enjoy more outdoor winter adventures, thus making me happier.
If you are wanting to have an adventure filled winter, then look no further because here are 10 fun adventures you can go on this winter.
Here is the perfect winter adventure bucket list:
1. Skiing
I don’t know how to ski but I am so excited to learn how to ski this winter! I have always wanted to learn how to conquer the slops, but I’ve never made time to take a lesson and enjoy the day learning a new skill. So, let’s all learn how to ski together this winter and then relax in the chalet!
2. Snow shoeing
Have you ever been snow shoeing? I love snow shoeing, it makes walking on the snow ridiculously easy, which makes hiking in the winter super fun. Pick up some snow shoes and enjoy a fun day on a beautiful trail.
3. Ice-skating
Enjoy at least one afternoon ice-skating this winter. No matter if you are on a man made rink or a frozen lake, ice-skating is always fun. You can finish the day with some hot coco. Pro tip: don’t skate on thin ice! If you are skating on a frozen lake, make sure the ice is at least 20 centimeters thick.
4. Winter Camping
Winter camping is hard and cold, but can be super fun with good people and having a bonfire in the winter is perfect. Dress warmly, buy the proper equipment, and have a good attitude.
5. Cross country skiing
OK cross-country skiing is hard guys, but it is a great workout and a great way to experience winter. I have been cross-country skiing and I’ll be honest it isn’t my favourite activity, but I am glad that I tried it.
6. Visit a Winter Wonderland distention

7. Go tobogganing
Find a hill and grab a sled and have some fun! Pro tip: if you are legal drinking age, enjoy an adult beverage to help warm you up. Just be safe.
8. Ice climbing
If you like rock climbing you can kick it up a notch with ice climbing. Enjoy the thrill of climbing up ice!
9. Curling
Curling is pretty much the winter version of bowling! It is easy to learn and fun to get into. You can join a team or go with your friends.
10. Hike
Just because there is snow doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a lovely hike. You could also enjoy a winter picnic, just remember to dress warmly and bring a good amount of blankets.
