From epic waves, lush forests and majestic mountains, Canada is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes which are perfect for adventures. Whether you love hitting the slopes, or are like me and just love the cozy vibe, ski resorts are the perfect places to explore in the winter for any outdoor lover. Here are some of the best ski resorts in Canada to visit during the winter.

5 Ski Resorts To Explore In Canada

Whistler

Whistler located two hours from Vancouver in British Columbia’s Coastal Mountains and is home to world-class skiing. There are two mountains that make up the resort, Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb. Adventurers can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, from skiing and snowboarding to ziplining, snowshoeing and heli-skiing. You can also take a ride on the famous PEAK 2 PEAK gondola. After your outdoor time, you can relax at a spa, do some shopping in Whistle Village, indulge at some amazing restaurants, and enjoy the nightlife.

Banff

Banff and the surrounding area is home to many ski resorts that offer amazing winter adventures for all outdoor lovers. The town of Banff is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and is located near Banff National Park and Jasper National Park, and allows travellers to enjoy an endless amount of winter fun – skiing, snowshoeing, outdoor ice skating, snowboarding tubing and more. Dine at one of the many world-renowned restaurants, visit some of the historical sites and cozy up by the fire.

Mont Tremblant

Located about 1.5 hours from Montreal, Mont Tremblant is Quebec’s premier ski resort. This all-season resort makes the perfect spot to enjoy an outdoor winter adventure. Enjoy 665 arcs of slops that are suited for all levels of skiers and boarders. Enjoy your apres ski in the spa or enjoy delicious poutine or BeaverTail with hot cocoa.

Blue Mountain

One of Ontario’s top ski resorts, Blue Mountain, is the perfect place to enjoy some time on the slopes, snowshoeing in the forest, and shopping in Blue Mountain Village. The resort is located about two hours north of Toronto, and home to beautiful terrain, good restaurants and winter magic.

Revelstoke

Our last ski resort is Revelstoke Mountain in Revelstoke, B.C. The mountain sees a high number of powder days; has few crowds; and offers excellent terrain, from open bowls to tree runs and beginner areas. Revelstoke is a charming town and will make a great location for anyone who is looking for a ski resort that is a little less touristy.
