Mother Erth Bags: Product Review
A few months ago I worked as an intern for a company called Mother Erth. Mother Erth is a company that is working hard to make a difference in the world by changing the way the fashion industry operates through creating Eco-friendly, sustainable products and empowering women all over the globe. They are seriously awesome!
Mother Erth currently makes unique, sustainable fashion bags and accessories out of non-recyclable materials that would otherwise end up polluting our beautiful planet, and they employee artisans moms from the Philippines, which gives them the opportunity to escape poverty and provide for their families. They have four different styles of bags, clutches, handbags, shoulder bags, and totes all which are durable, double woven from incredibly strong materials.
I love these bags for a few reasons, the first being that they are so unique and truly a statement piece that they always, literally always, start great conversations with people everywhere I go. I love connecting with loved ones and meeting new people, and my Mother Erth bag has become one of my best ice breakers!
The second reason why I love my Mother Erth bags is due to the fact that they empower women. I think that empowering women is one of the best things we can do as a society and I am seeing more and more companies stepping up and building women up is terrific. To me empowering women is to build women up, to have them participate fully in all sectors of life in order to create stronger economies, achieve international success in developing sustainable societies, and improve the quality of life for women, men, and communities. It is realizing the value that women have, and encouraging women to be the best they can be, so that they can equally work together with their male counterparts to make the world a better place, and I truly believe that Mother Erth is doing just that.
The third reason is because I love our planet and believe that we need to step it up and take better care of it and Mother Erth is paving the way for a more Eco-friendly future especially within the fashion industry, and I think that is amazing! You may be surprised to find this out, but the fashion industry is the second largest dirtiest industry. Meaning, that next to the Oil Industry, fashion creates the second largest amount of pollution. When I think fashion I think runway models, and perfect Pinterest outfits, which are both very clean and put together. I was really shocked to find out just how much pollution is created from the industry. The fashion industry is way more complex than what most people realize. The various stages of production, raw material accumulation, different textiles, fabric manufacture, the design process, packing, shipping, unpacking, and the disposal of garments, all add up to this massive carbon footprint. I know that it is hard to shop stainable all the time but by choosing to buy some items from companies like Mother Erth, you can make a huge difference and cause a ripple effect which will eventually lead to more companies switching to more environmentally friendly practices. By making these changes we can help fight against population, heal our planet and keep it beautiful and fresh so that we can explore it and be in awe of its beauty.
Check out Mother Erth’s collection now, order your own bag and know that by you being conscious of what products you buy, you can change our planet for the better! Follow Mother Erth on Instagram and stay up to date with the change they are creating all over our wonderful planet.
Shop smart, and spread love!
