The Most Epic Places To Skydive

I wasn’t nervous at all until I stepped out on to the ledge of the plane and looked down. I was approximately 16,000 ft above sea level and about to skydive for the first time. I was jumping tandem and as the skydive instructor was positioning us for our jump, butterflies started fluttering around my stomach. The instructor gave the cue to jump, I took a deep breath in and out and in a blink of an eye we were free falling.

The feeling was unbelievable. All the butterflies in my stomach were gone and a sense of peace washed over me. I felt like I was flying. During the 50 second free fall, I felt free, powerful and unstoppable. The amazing rush of adrenaline made me feel more alive than I have ever felt in my whole life. After the instructor pulled the parachute, we glided to the ground and I admired the beauty around us. It was one of the best experiences that I have ever had.

If you are like me and are a notorious adrenaline junkie, then I definitely recommend you try skydiving. Honestly, I believe that skydiving should be on everyone’s bucket list because it truly is a life changing experience. Read my blog post How Skydiving Healed My Broken Heart to learn more about my first time skydiving.

You can skydive all over the world, but here are eight of the most epic places to skydive.

  1. Colorado Springs.

I skydived in Colorado Springs, and it was honestly perfect. Colorado is beautiful and getting to admire it from above was breathtaking. Check out Royal Gorge Skydive, they are very professional, affordable and I had a blast jumping with them.

  1. Mount Everest

If you like to do things to the extreme, then why not skydive at Mount Everest! Take your first jump at the highest point on earth, and see beautiful views of snow capped mountains. Although the experience would be once in a lifetime, it is on the pricey side.

  1. Namib Desert, Namibia

While jumping over the mountains and ocean is super cool, jumping over the desert is a whole other experience. If you are visiting Namibia, definitely consider skydiving over the desert.

    4. Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is one of my favourite cities in the whole world. It is a beautiful place to visit and has a lot of attractions that are great for adrenaline junkies, including skydiving. I also recommend Shark Cage Diving, while in Cape Town.

  1. Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

One of the most beautiful views to see while skydiving is in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Your photos from the experience will leave all of your friends and family beyond jealous.

  1. North Wollongong Beach, Sydney, Australia

Australia is home to many beautiful natural landscapes, why not observe them from a birds eye view? Wollongong Beach is said to be a favourite destination for skydiving from skydivers all over the world.

  1.  Livingstone, Zambia with Victoria Falls Adventures

Viewing any waterfall from the sky is breathtaking. While Victoria Falls is a beautiful tourist attraction on its own, getting to skydive over it will only make you experience seeing the Falls that much more special.

  1. The Republic of Palau

Palau is a gorgeous island in the western Pacific Ocean. It is home to turquoise waters, sandy beaches and emerald forests. The wonder of the island natural beauty makes it an epic skydiving location.

These locations are on my new skydiving bucket list, and I can’t wait to jump over all of them. Where are you dreaming of skydiving?

Wishing you a lifetime full of safe jumps,

Love,Â
