5 Beauty Tips For Travelling

Travelling and adventuring in the outdoors can do some damage to our bodies and health. Our skin, hair, and nails are under much stress while exploring, which is why it is important to put a little time and effort in order for us to feel and look our best while on the road. Here are five beauty tips I follow while I am satisfying my wanderlust:

Moisturize!

If it’s hot and you are sweating out of everywhere, moisturize. If you are freezing your buns off enjoying a winter vacation, moisturize. No matter what the weather is you want to be moisturizing your face and skin. While travelling your skin will be exposed to some new environments and stress, and moisturizing can help keep it hydrated and happy. Pro tip: find a natural moisturizer that is good for your skin. The only moisturizer I use is a blend of oils, called Soulgold. It smells heavenly, is 100% natural, has no harmful chemicals in it and leaves my skin feeling smooth.

Bring lip balm.

Lip balm is moisturizer for your lips and is essential while travelling for all the same reasons I listed that moisturizer is.

Bring face wipes.

Let me just say not all heroes wear caps! Wipes are every traveller’s best companion. You can use them to clean off the dirt, sweat, and makeup from your face, and use them to clean up any spills and such that may occur while travelling.

Stay hydrated and happy.

If you have been following my blogs (which you totally should be, welcome to the family, I’m so glad you are here) you will know that I am a big fan of water. Drinking a good amount of water while travelling is a smart decision for a few different reasons, one being it is great for your skin. Keeping your skin hydrated will help your skin to look radiate and feel wonderful.

Come up with a few easy hairstyles and fast makeup looks that make you feel beautiful.

Before leaving for your trip I recommend you learn two or three different hairstyles that are easy to do and make you feel pretty and confident. You could master the art of braiding, creating the perfect messy bun or creating wavy curls with a straightener. When my hair was longer, I would use this curling trick to create a gorgeous bouncy curly head of hair in 10 minutes. Now that my hair is a medium length, I embrace its natural waves by spraying some sea salt spray in it and letting it air dry. As for makeup, unless I have an event or going out for the evening, I do an easy five-minute contour look with a little eyeliner, eyebrow work, and mascara.

Use these tips on your next trip to feel and look 100%. Let me know what hairstyles and makeup looks you rock while travelling in the comments.

You are beautiful and loved,
